It’s time to plan your race day! Just because we are not able to gather in person doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of ways to participate in the Brunch Run 5K & Walk. Here are several options to make your day memorable and fun!

Some things to note:

  • Regardless of how you plan your race day, the registration fee is $40.
  • We will be hosting a pre-race kickoff! At 10 am CDT on August 22, we’ll be hosting a 10 to 15-minute kickoff Zoom call where you’ll hear a special message from our Executive Director Stephanie Lieber and Imerman Angels co-founder Jonny Imerman and a virtual starting pistol to start the race -- just like an in-person 5K! If you aren’t able to log on at that time, a recording will be available.
  • Run or walk -- or don’t! We encourage all participants to run a 5K, but this virtual event gives you the opportunity to go the distance: whichever distance you’re comfortable with! Run a 5K, walk a 5K, walk a mile, or don’t walk at all. You’re in charge!
  • Join the event on Strava! You can upload your route and results from your walk or run on the Brunch Run 5K & Walk: The Virtual Version event page on the Imerman Angels Strava account. Click here to join the event!
  • The star of the show is BRUNCH! We put together an incredible digital Run the Kitchen Cookbook, full of brunch recipes submitted by fellow participants, Mentees and Mentor Angels. Click here to access the Run the Kitchen Cookbook!

P.S. If you can't host your brunch until after August 22, don't worry! Because this event is virtual, registration will remain open until September 30, 2020, and fundraising will remain open through the end of the year.

Here are three ways that you can get involved on event day:

The Socially Distant Brunchers

  1. Register for the event and gather friends and family to register on your team

  3. Run or walk your race with a small group of friends and family. Depending on the regulations in your state, you may be able to gather a small group to run or walk together! Make sure to keep your distance and wear masks when needed.
  4. Invite your small group of friends and family to your home where you’ll cook them up a delicious brunch and keep the mimosas flowing. Gathering a small group in your backyard is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and ensure there is enough room for safe social distancing!

And after all that? We think you deserve a nap. Register here to get started!
