Your fundraising and contribution will help us advance our mission to provide personalized connections that enable one-on-one support among cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers. Imerman Angels partners anyone, any age, any gender, anywhere and any cancer type seeking support with someone just like them – a “Mentor Angel”. A Mentor Angel is a cancer survivor or caregiver who most importantly has faced the same type of cancer.

Our service is absolutely free and helps anyone touched by any type of cancer, at any cancer stage, at any age, living anywhere in the world.

These one-on-one relationships give a cancer fighter or caregiver the chance to ask personal questions and get support from someone who has been there before. Mentor Angels can lend support and empathy and help cancer fighters and caregivers navigate the system, determine their options and create their own support systems. Frequently, caregivers experience feelings similar to those of the person facing cancer. Mentor Angels can relate while being sensitive to the experience and situation.

Here's how your fundraising will continue to help others:

$50 - Sponsor one month of community engagement materials for our healthcare partners and providers. This information is critical to helping us educate the community and spread awareness for our services so that we can make even more matches!


$75- Fund One Imerman Angels’ Hospital Outreach Event where an Imerman Angels’ Ambassador is onsite at a medical center with cancer fighters and their caregivers to help facilitate a match with a Mentor Angel.


$100- Underwrite Training for One Imerman Angels’ Ambassador, a volunteer that spreads awareness with clinicians in healthcare settings and the public-at-large about Imerman Angels’ free services, so that people receive the support they need as they face cancer.


$350- Create a Match through underwriting all costs associated with providing a match between a cancer fighter, survivor and caregiver to a Mentor Angel so that no one faces cancer alone.



Individual Prizes (all participants, including virtual participants, are eligible):

First Prize: The top fundraiser will receive a Fitbit Blaze and an Imerman Angels Brunch Run 5K & Walk picnic blanket.

Second Prize: The second highest fundraiser will receive a $100 Amazon gift card and Imerman Angels Brunch Run 5K & Walk picnic blanket. 

Third Prize: The third highest fundraiser will receive a $50 Fleet Feet Sports gift card and an Imerman Angels Brunch Run 5K & Walk picnic blanket.

Other Incentives for Fundraising:

Raise $350: fundraise a minimum of $350 and receive a special mention during the program following the 5K honoring a cancer fighter, survivor, or caregiver of your choice such as a family member or friend (fundraising deadline of June 5th at 5pm). Your name will be displayed on your own individual sign right by the finish line!
 
Raise $100: You will get a special designation on your race bib recognizing you as an amazing Angel Fundraiser.

Team Prizes:

The Biggest Fundraising Team (largest amount of money raised, excludes registration fee) will receive a private team tent (with tables and chairs) stocked with pre-race snacks and beverages, all you can eat and drink, personalized signage featuring their team's name, and acknowledgement at the start of the race and on-stage at the awards ceremony.
 
The Largest Team (greatest number of registered team participants) will receive a private team tent (with tables and chairs) stocked with pre-race snacks and beverages, personalized signage featuring their team's name, and acknowledgement at the start of the race and on-stage at the awards ceremony.

  • Social media has made it easier than ever before to share with friends and family that you are participating in the Brunch Run 5K

  • Utilize Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to recruit team members and to fundraise

Matching Gifts and Corporate Support

  • Request a casual day where fellow employees can donate $5 to wear jeans on a Friday

  • Organize a potluck where colleagues bring in dishes and coworkers donate $5 for lunch

  • Ask your company to sponsor each employee who participates for $25

  • Many companies offer corporate giving programs that match the funds that you receive

Daily Routine

  • Eat out for lunch every day? Pack a lunch and put your allotted lunch towards your fundraising goal

  • Spring Cleaning? Hold a garage sale with proceeds benefiting your team

Organize a Wrap-Around Fundraising Event

  • A wrap-around event is an individual fundraiser that you or your team organizes where the proceeds of the event go to your 5K team

  • Some ideas include: trivia night, karaoke night, chili cook-off, happy hour, wine and cheese party, or sports tournament
