Five Days to Fifty Thousand!

We're in the home stretch! With just five days left until Brunch Run, we're trying to raise $50,000 in fundraising alone. This is not including money raised from registrations or sponsorships; this is just the result of generous Brunch Run participants fundraising and reaching out to friends and family to support cancer fighters, survivors, previvors and caregivers. We're only $8,000 away from $50,000! Will you help us reach our goal?

Your fundraising and contribution will help us advance our mission to provide personalized connections that enable one-on-one support among cancer fighters, previvors, survivors and caregivers. Imerman Angels' services are absolutely free and partner anyone touched by any type of cancer, at any stage, at any age, living anywhere in the world with someone just like them – a “Mentor Angel.” A Mentor Angel is a cancer survivor, previvor or caregiver who most importantly has faced the same type of cancer.


These one-on-one relationships give a cancer fighter, previvor or caregiver the chance to ask personal questions and get support from someone who has been there before. Mentor Angels can lend support and empathy and help cancer fighters and caregivers navigate the system, determine their options and create their own support systems. Frequently, caregivers experience feelings similar to those of the person facing cancer. Mentor Angels can relate while being sensitive to the experience and situation.

Here's how your fundraising will continue to help others:


$50 - Help create community engagement materials for our healthcare partners and providers. This information is critical to helping us educate the community and spread awareness for our services so that we can support more people during their cancer journey.

$75 - Support Imerman Angels’ Hospital Outreach Events where an Imerman Angels’ Ambassador is onsite at a medical center with cancer fighters and their caregivers to help facilitate a match with a Mentor Angel.

$100 - Supply Training for Imerman Angels’ Ambassadors, volunteers that spreads awareness with clinicians in healthcare settings and the public-at-large about Imerman Angels’ free services, so that people receive the support they need as they face cancer.

$250 - Support a Match through underwriting costs associated with providing a match between a cancer fighter, survivor, previvor and caregiver to a Mentor Angel so that no one faces cancer alone.  

Individual Prizes

  • Top fundraiser: Fitbit Blaze
  • Fundraise over $250 and receive an Imerman Angels t-shirt
  • Fundraise over $500 and receive an Imerman Angels zip-up sweatshirt
  • Fundraise a minimum of $100 (by Friday, August 21 at 5 pm) as an individual and your name will be displayed on our digital signage during the pre-race virtual program. If you want to honor a cancer fighter, survivor, previvor or caregiver of your choice, we will be reaching on Tuesday, August 18th at 10 am for your submission. If you raise $100 after 8/18, you will be listed by name.

  • Social media has made it easier than ever before to share with friends and family that you are participating in the Brunch Run 5K
  • Utilize Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to recruit team members and to fundraise
  • Post a direct link to your personal fundraising page, ask your friends for support, provide updates on your fundraising progress and thank your contributors!

E-mail or Letter Writing Campaign

  • Spend an afternoon sending letters or emails
  • Always include a link to your personal and/or team page in your letter or email

Matching Gifts and Corporate Support

  • Ask your company to sponsor each employee who participates for $25

  • Many companies offer corporate giving programs that match the funds that you receive
